Dumbo is perhaps the most famous of elephants made so by the Disney 1941 animated movie based on a novel by Helen Abserson and Harold Pearl about a new born elephant with oversized ears that is cared for by a struggling circus owner. The owner’s children soon discover that when Dumbo flaps its ears it can fly!
